The Dahua NVR1108HS-S3/H is an 8-channel Network Video Recorder designed for reliable IP surveillance recording and monitoring. It features an embedded processor and supports web-based management as well as local GUI operation.
The recorder supports up to 8MP video decoding and provides flexible decoding performance, including 1-channel 8MP at 30fps, 1-channel 5MP at 30fps, 2-channel 4MP at 30fps, 2-channel 3MP at 30fps, 4-channel 1080P at 30fps and 8-channel 720P at 30fps. Multi-screen display supports 1, 4, 8 and 9-channel viewing, while HDMI and VGA outputs support simultaneous 1080P video output.
For efficient recording and storage management, the NVR supports Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+ and H.264 video compression, along with PCM, G711A, G711U, G726 and AAC audio compression. Recording modes include manual, alarm, motion detection and timed recording, with recording priority configured accordingly.
The NVR1108HS-S3/H supports up to 8-channel synchronized playback and provides playback functions such as fast forward, fast backward, rewind, frame playback, backup, partial enlargement and audio on/off. It includes one SATA 2.0 port supporting up to an 8TB single HDD, two USB 2.0 ports for backup and device connectivity, and mobile access through iDMSS for iOS and gDMSS for Android.
The recorder operates on DC 12V/1.5A with total NVR power consumption of up to 10W without an HDD. Its compact 260 × 225 × 47.6mm design and 1-year manufacturing warranty make it suitable for compatible CCTV and IP surveillance installations.
